Six methods to get leads, getting leads to your site and offer is the fundamental first rule of IM/AFFILIATE Marketing regardless of what you have been previously told or read.
Traffic again you may say, but what of sales.?
Countless articles and books have been written on ways to generate traffic, and I suspect countless more will be, each individual has a different method that they say works for them, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that it will work for you.
Depending on what type of marketing you are into, whether you have your own business or an affiliate to one of the license rights programs your objective is the same the only difference is that the latter all you need to do is drive traffic to the sales funnel, then the telesales team take over.
So what are the methods ?
PAID AND FREE
SOLO ADS Paid
BANNER ADS Paid
Solo ads are stand-alone advertisements, meaning your message goes out alone without any others attached.
Put simply, some internet marketers/ vendors will send your ad to their list.
Costs vary from vendor to vendor. look for a few vendors and see what they offer, they’ll usually have contact details so contact them ask questions and effectively scrutinize them as if you were employing someone, asking if they’ve promoted your niche or company before ,whether they use rotators etc. Another point to ask is when can they send the solo. Never buy a solo ad without contacting the vendor.
A banner ad is another form of online advertising which entails embedding an advertisement into a web page.
It is intended to attract traffic to a website by linking to the website of the advertiser. Banners function the same way as traditional advertisements are intended to function:
notifying consumers of the product or service and presenting reasons why the consumer should choose the product.
Banner ads differ in that the results for advertisement campaigns may be monitored real-time and may be targeted to the viewer’s interests.
These advertisements can be annoying as they distract from a web page’s actual content. Don’t get confused by the term Banner, as when building your site or Social Media page you have a header picture which is termed a banner.
A blog is information consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries (“posts”). Posts are typically displayed in reverse chronological order, so that the most recent post appears first, at the top of the web page ,unlike a post in Facebook,Many blogs provide commentary on a particular subject or topic, ranging from politics to sports. Others function more as online brand advertising of a particular individual or company. A typical blog combines text, digital images.
It is a good way of building your list organically, they can be monetized by placing links to various offers you have, but they should not be used as a glorified billboard. Revenue earned from blogs can be quite high , the only drawback is that ,that revenue isn’t instant, you could be writing content everyday for months and see little return of followers or income.
Usually before you start blogging you need to find out what your targeted audience want to read about, primarily if you are able to solve a problem regarding business issues, this can be done by posting surveys.
A safe list is a group of like minded people, in the marketing field, you sign up and in exchange for displaying your offers you read other members offers, a little like “you scratch my back,I’ll scratch yours” the only downside is that your inbox will be filled with e-mails which you could mistake for spam. It would be advisable to have a separate e-mail address another benefit from safe lists is the opportunity to make joint ventures with fellow members, and if lucky even make a few customers. There are quite a few on the net which you can find via Google.
Rotators or traffic exchanges as they are also known by are. simply a URL or web address that stores all the web page locations that you want to use in your rotation system. Suppose you had 10 websites/ webpages that you wanted to send traffic to – you could store all these different 10 URL’s in your rotator, and then every time someone visited the rotator URL they would actually get a different site .
The key thing to understand is that Traffic Exchanges will often send the same visitors to your site over and over. So if you only have one site then people will be seeing the same page repeatedly. Its much better to get people to visit different pages or different sites – because if they weren’t interested in the first page they might like the second or third site!!
The golden rule is always use a rotator wherever possible.
If you are running multiple URL’s it would be a good idea to use a tracker, as you will need to see which are performing and which aren’t, then you can delete the under performing ads/sites.
There are a number of tracking programs available on the web.
Co-Ops are becoming more popular in the traffic exchange marketing, arena With good reason, traffic exchange co-ops allow you to get your ads seen at a large variety of places without having to earn credits at each of these sites. The debate starts with the difference in owner purchased traffic or member generated traffic .
There are two types of co-op owner based and member based.
This is when the owner of the co-op decides which traffic exchanges to purchase traffic from and then buys the traffic from the selected traffic exchanges.
This type of co-op encourages members to put a specified link in rotation at their favorite traffic exchanges. Each hit to this link provides the co-op member with a credit so they can get their own ads viewed. Basically the traffic you have earned at one TE is exchanged for traffic at another TE. Members of this type of co-op can earn their credits with this exchange link or they can purchase credits. The traffic you receive in return can be from anywhere and, in most cases, is un-filterable.
